As a 100% foster-based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility; instead, our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes. To help us find the best match, we must understand a little about you and your lifestyle.

Are you interested in adopting rescue dogs? We strive to find you a perfect canine match. We need to learn a little about you and your lifestyle to achieve this. While this may seem detailed, we aim to ensure each rescue is placed in the best possible home and situation.

Our Adoption Process

Complete the Adoption Application

The first step in adopting is completing our adoption application. Please allow at least 30 minutes to complete the form. Note that as an email form, it cannot be saved partially—you must complete the form in its entirety before it can be successfully submitted.

Disclaimer: Important Information About the Adoption Application

  • Processing Time: Applications take at least 24-72 hours to process fully. Please do not call for status updates before this period has passed.
  • Communication: All communication regarding adoption applications is done both by email and phone. You will receive an email once an application has been assigned to a processor. Please make sure vet and personal references are aware of contact by an Amazing Mutts so as to not slow process. Your processor will provide a direct phone number for any questions during the adoption process. They will be your point of contact for questions.
  • Event Day Submissions: If you submit an application the morning of an adoption event (or shortly prior) and do not receive approval, do not expect to take a dog home that day. If you are able to bring your most recent vet documents or access to your vet portal, you may be able to bring home a dog.
  • Family and Dog Attendance: If your application is approved, we encourage you to bring all household members to meet your potential new puppy. Current dogs are also welcomed at a new puppy meet before adoption. Adult dog adoptions are required to meet with current dog/s in the household to ensure compatibility.
  • Application Validity: Applications are processed based on age groups, not specific dogs. If your application is approved and the dog you were interested in has since been adopted, your approval is valid for any dog on our website within the age group you were approved for. Applications are valid for one year. If you received approval over a year ago, please submit a new application.
